The Color Green Renews and Refreshes
Green makes me feel fresh. It maks me feel down to earth and reminds me of all the gentle people in my life...it's so peaceful, it's so Godly, so bright and so soothing...i just love green ~ Edner Jilloh
When I see the color green, I think of life. I think of growth and how even during dry periods when the grass is dead and brown, with just a little rain and some sun, it is renewed and green once more. We all have our "dry" periods when we are stagnate - when we need to feel renewed and refreshed. Sometimes, a good nights sleep or a change in routine is all we need. However, studies have shown that certain colors bring an energy to individuals.
"Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises." ~ Pedro Calderon la Barca - Spanish poet and playright1600-1681.
Balance Your Energy
The color green can balance our energy. It isn't healthy to have too much hyper-like energy After we experience this kind of energy and we don't pace ourselves, then we often "hit the wall" and we end up completely exhausted.
Green gives us the energy to nurture ourselves. When you look at the color green, let it remind you to allow nature to do its work. Let go, breathe in the rich emerald green hues, and you will feel natures energy filling your body, mind and spirit.
What does the color green tell you about yourself? If you wear green ( any shade) you are benevolent and service-oriented. It is a symbol of peace and harmony. You are sensitive and artistic.
A Green Aura
All natural healers should have a green aura. And the stronger the color the better the healer. When you are in the presence of a person with a green aura, you will feel peace and calm. When you visualize, using the color green will bring you to a restful and healing state.
Those with a green aura, also have a "green thumb" and love to garden and grow plants.

My Favorite Tree ~ Weeping Willow
As a child I would walk most anywhere I could to behold the beautiful weeping willow tree. I found a sense of peace and healing within my soul. I experienced a deep connection with my creator, my Heavenly Father. I could hear a voice whisper to me, "all is well", my child. My love-starved well soon filled with so much love I could barely contain it all.
The willow tree represents healing, inner-vision and dreams. The leaves and bark were used in ancient times for aches and fever. Indians, as well, used the tree because it contains acetylsalicylic acid, (aspirin). It may have derived it's name because it was used in the 19th century to commemorate the death of a loved one...and weeping.
So, you see, the color green is not reserved just for St. Patrick's Day, but for any time you want to renew and refresh your heart and soul.

Green is very relaxing and meditative. I've always liked green, ever since the first time I heard Kermit sing "It's not easy being green."
Oh, hue!!!!, have done it again.
As a kid in Iowa, I used to marvel at all the green each spring, after the dingy gray-brown of late winter.
And of course, the black coat and red-orange vest of the first robin.
That was an awesome hub! As soon as I saw the green picture in your hub, I clicked in. I use to have a green duffle coat, that went down to my ankles. At the age of 12 and for the next few years, it was my favourite item of clothing. I wore this coat everywhere. My family did not like this coat at all. Asking why I would want to wear, a horrible green coat. I could never explain why, I just loved it - now I know why! Thankyou
Two years later, my mum threw it away while I was at school. I don't think I ever got over it. :)
Awesome and up
Cheers Skellie
A beautiful written hub and you are so right.
This was a wonderful hub , l know l shall keep coming back to it. A friend of mine who wear green so, so, often all shades, matchung shoes, sometimes, has the personality you describe here. Benevolent and service-oriented. Thank you for bringing a little peace into my day

What a beautiful hub about the color green.. it's interesting about the "green room" for TV guests and I share your love for the weeping willow... such a beautiful tree.. When I think about green, what comes to mind is the grass, bushes and trees in the spring after a rain shower.. I love the way that feels and everything is so bright and green after wards. I don't know why it all seems so much more noticeable then. Anyway, great hub.. voted up and beautiful :0)
Wow, very nice hub. I felt very relaxed and peaceful after reading just the first few lines. Green and blue are my favorite colors - very refreshing!! Nice hub. Thank you!
Green was my Mum's favourite colour, she said it's God's colour. I'm not religious, but I can see why.
You have me looking forward to Summer now.
I love green and it appears God has purpose in mind for making the season of growth and its environment predominantly green.
I have read a couple of articles suggesting that it is the most soothing color to the eye and at one time, according to a PBS special, counter tops for watch makers and repairers were green for this very reason. they also said that some hospitals were using green surgical gowns because of this as well.
I enjoyed your article and your presented facts about green.
Wow what a truly awesome hub, brilliantly done. A great read. I thought the pictures were brilliant especially the green aura!
A beautiful hub, Audrey, and ending it with Lena Horne was particularly fitting. Thank you. Rated up.
What a wonderful Hub on the color Green, so upbeat with your pictures and Lena Horne, what more could we ask for from you...Except to say, "Thank You" for sharing Vocalcoach.
The photos took a second to load - so when it popped up it was similar to seeing fireworks:-). Now I'm going to wrap up in a green blanket, lay down on the green lawn under the weeping willow:)!

Fantastic write to to bottom, I cold only think of the song Jean and the word green is in it once, but it hit me long before the "add" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P2j5YGcuYc
a song. Oliver died of cancer in 2000, he was younger than me but still got my attention as does green, it is more than a color to a Marine, beatifically played hub on green, one word and like a flower you made it blossom, thank you, 50
Good Morning, Audrey. It's saturday morning and I am in the town public library printing out tax forms! That is one of my 'to do's this w/e'.
Hubchallenge: I think there is a small subgroup of hopeful stragglers who are behind and are 'hoping' that a miracle will happen, but realistically know where they stand in 'catching up'. I'm in that group. (Does this make us 'subhubbers' ??? LOL Oh well, Se la vie.
As for Mr. Right and that dazzling green Gem- I'm with you sister! 'Put a ring on it' as the song goes.
Hope you are joyful about all of this adventure and not angsting. It just means we are busy in other areas of our lives! Take care.
Fascinating! And peaceful. Thanks for this useful info.
Thanks for sharing this info! Maybe my sudden crave for green is my unspoken prayer for balance. Good to know that we can think of green not only associated with 'money' even though that's a good green too! v/r
It is so ironic that I came across your hub tonight. I added a graphic to one of my hubs today (entitled "Parochial Reinforcement"). I was referred Stephen King's Tommyknockers and I actually depicted a graphic that was electric green in reference to how I was feeling during a certain illness. Amazing!
Whoops sorry vocal coach. In my last post, I was referencing my hub "Playing House with Intestinal Grievances" not "Parocial Reinforcement." I envisioned my self portrait as a mesh of electric green fibers...
What a wonderful hub! I love so many things that's green; green tea, spinach, Kermit, my green thumb, olives. . . and I share your love for the weeping willow. Green also relaxes me and makes me feel peaceful. Rated up and Awesome. Thank you for sharing!
